Welcome to Our Preschool!
Preschool years are among the most important for a child’s growth and development. At The Loyola School, we nurture curiosity, independence, and a love of learning while preparing children to be confident and ready for kindergarten. Our program balances play, exploration, and evidence-based instruction to support the whole child socially, emotionally, and academically. This whole child approach grows out of the Jesuit tradition of caring for each individual child and nurturing their unique potential.

The Preschool Journey (Ages 2 to 4)
Our program grows with your child. Each stage builds on the last, creating a seamless path toward kindergarten readiness.
PreK-2
Using Frog Street Toddlers, we introduce our 2’s to classroom routines, cooperative play, and early communication skills. Students learn independence, self-care, and how to engage with peers while exploring themes such as All About Me, Community Helpers, and Sea Life.
PreK-3
Our 3’s develop foundational skills in literacy, math, science, social studies, and motor development. Heggerty’s Phonological Awareness and Singapore Dimensions Math PreK A are part of their daily learning. Through hands‑on learning and cooperative play, confidence and independence continue to grow.
PreK-4
Our 4’s program focuses on kindergarten readiness through strong early learning experiences. Heggerty’s Phonemic Awareness and Singapore Dimensions Math PreK B guide daily learning. Students build reading readiness, number sense, science exploration, and technology skills in a supportive classroom environment. Small class sizes and the Brigance developmental screening tool allow teachers to support each child’s individual growth.

Individualized Growth
Every child develops at their own pace. Our small class sizes and experienced teachers allow us to meet children where they are and provide the right support for their next steps. Assessments help us celebrate progress and adjust instruction to meet each child’s needs.
Beyond the Classroom
Preschoolers enjoy outdoor play, specials such as art and music, and plenty of opportunities to practice cooperation, creativity, and problem solving through play.
