A message from Margaret and Jimmy

To celebrate our wedding and the beginning of the rest of our lives together, we will be making a contribution to fund a year-round scholarship for a preschool student attending The Loyola School.

We feel overwhelmingly blessed and grateful for all that we have and want to make giving back an important part of our lives. As we think about building our life together and the symbolism of our wedding, we could not think of a better time or opportunity to do so. If you would like to make a gift to us, this would be all we ask.

In lieu of traditional gifts, we are inviting our family and friends who are sharing in our celebration to join us in contributing to this scholarship.

Founded in 2017, The Loyola School is a year-round, full-scholarship, independent school serving children age 2 through 4th grade from Baltimore City families of limited financial means (1 in 4 children in Baltimore City lives in poverty). The Loyola School was founded by Baltimore education pioneer Rev. William J. Watters, S.J. who previously founded the St. Ignatius Loyola Academy middle school and Cristo Rey Jesuit High School to address the untapped potential of Baltimore City’s underserved students at the middle and high school levels. The Loyola School fills the last gap by extending this innovative model of education to Baltimore City’s youngest learners, creating the opportunity to address the achievement gap before it forms.

Our gift to The Loyola School is an investment in a child at the stage of their life that matters most—early childhood. It’s our opportunity as a community of family and friends to have an indelible impact not just on a child’s future, but on Baltimore’s future.
