Elementary School (K–4)

Welcome to Our Elementary School!

The Loyola School’s Elementary Program guides students from Kindergarten through 4th grade, building curiosity, creativity, and strong academic foundations that they will carry with them into middle school and beyond. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition, we focus on cura personalis—care for the whole child—supporting intellectual, social-emotional, and spiritual growth while nurturing empathy, compassion, and a commitment to community.

Our Approach

A Caring Environment

We help students feel secure in their first school experiences, building trust and a sense of community.

Whole Child Development

Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis or care for the whole person, we support social emotional growth, early academics, fine motor skills, and independence so that each child can thrive in their own way.

Class Sizes

1 teacher to 7 students in Kindergarten; 1 teacher to 14 students in 1st-4th.

Family Partnership

Parents are a vital part of the journey, with teachers communicating progress and milestones along the way.

The Elementary Journey

Our program grows with your child. Each grade builds on the last, creating a seamless path toward confidence, independence, and academic success.

Kindergarten

Students build early literacy skills with Magnetic Reading, a science of reading based approach that is supplemental with exposure to high-quality literature when children can both see themselves and see beyond themselves in the stories. Students develop strong number sense and problem-solving strategies with Singapore Math, and engage with science and social studies through hands-on inquiry. Special area classes include art, music, religion, and Spanish for all grades.
